Статья содержит обзор докладов, заслушанных на секции общетеоретических проблем библиотечного дела и смежных наук XIX «Скворцовских чтений». Они прошли 23-24 апреля 2014 г. в Московском государственном университете культуры и искусств под названием «Библиотечно-информационная деятельность в cовременной системе информации, документных коммуникаций и культуры» - в год 75-летия известного библиотековеда В.В. Скворцова.
The article presents an overview of presentations given at the section of General theoretical problems of librarianship and related sciences of XIX "Skvortsov Readings". The conference titled "Library and information activities in the modern system of information, document communications and culture" was held at the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts on 23-24 April, 2014 - in the year of 75th anniversary of the famous library scientist V. Skvortsov.
