The Article briefly presented the history of formation, the main development trends and structure of the International Crimea Conferences. Organization of these conferences is one of the first examples of the public initiatives within the post-Soviet time. These Conferences play important role as a forum for professional exchange of ideas and the best practices of librarianship.
