Outreach and Promotion of Braille Reading and Writing in Russia and Abroad

Abstract

The actual problems of formation of library collections of braille documents and providing prompt access to children and adults - sight-disabled persons in the conditions of universal currency of computer technologies. The role of special and public libraries in the outreach and popularization around the world of Braille reading and writing - the basic tools of literacy for the Blind is discussed.
