Abstract
The paper is devoted to memory of Vasily Serov — an outstanding organizer of librarianship of 1960—1990’s. The 80th of his birth anniversary was celebrated in September 2011. Author shares memories of collaboration and assesses the important contribution of V. Serov as a professional manager to the library sphere.
