Forms of Cultural Mass Events at Gorky Car Factory in 1930th

Abstract

The Gorky Car Factory Library successfully solved the problem of liquidation of illiteracy and semiliteracy among workers, it helped in their studies, in popularization of knowledge and books and it organized the meetings with writers and cultural leisure of the factory workers. There were special talks and loud readings and large-type editions were printed. Large scale work with the members of Stakhanovism was held. A great number of events organized by the library go to prove its important educational role.
