Abstract
In the article there are considered the manuscript sources resided at the Scientific Research Department of Manuscripts of the Russian State Library, associated with the name of M. Lermontov. There are presented their classification and specific examples, as well as assessment of their value for philologists, experts in library and information science and bibliologists.
