Abstract
The article presents the Album «The Russian Empire in Color Photographs by S. Prokudin-Gorsky, 1906-1916» (Text and Composition by S. Garanina. M: Beautiful Book, 2013. 264 P.: Ill.), released to the 150th birth anniversary of the famous Russian photographer. There is considered the history of study of his heritage, defined the sources of Album compilation, of its content and art features.
