- To understand the strengths and weaknesses of library work with migrants in Russia, it is useful to compare it with similar work being done in Germany.
- Successful interaction between librarians and migrant users depends on the degree to which the interests of users with migration background are explored.
- Further training of librarians serving migrants is a key area of work, as it allows to develop the intercultural competencies which are necessary in this specific area.
- Building information literacy for migrants is an important part of the adaptation process. Therefore, information literacy classes for migrant users should become a part of everyday work of Russian libraries that serve this group of users.
