Male Characters and Their Social Space in the Modern Children Reading

Abstract

The results of the study on the features of representation of male characters in the fiction recommended for preschool children are given. The tendency for androcentrism in stereotypic description of male characters in accordance with traditional norms of emotional and physical stability, social success and anti-feminity is revealed.
