On the events under the workshop at the Moscow Region Ministry of Culture on the profile and acquisition criteria of the Future Branch by B.N. Yeltsin Presidential Library in the Moscow Region

On the new concept of the National library and information collection formation by book chambers, libraries, archives, scientific and technical information institutions and specialized depositories. The idea of a more complete preservation of documental cultural heritage of Russia, including network information resources is substantiated. Criteria of sharing responsibility between the organizations participating in formation of distributed national collection are offered in the paper.

The paper deals with cognitive structure of library science. A cognitive determination of various types of library knowledge is analyzed. Knowledge of institutional character and scientific knowledge are determined. The author examines essential characteristics of scientific knowledge, its objective, and stages of cognition and cognitive values of library science.

Features of the actual stage of the librarian development caused by the global process of society informatization are shown. The main socio-cultural transformations of libraries during this process and their functional characteristics are described. Three-component conceptual model of the future library as a link in the social communication system is proved in the paper

Experience of Quality Management System (QMS) implementation in RMLIC and practical experience of solving problems arising in the process of elaboration and implementation of QMS on accordance to requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001-2008 is considered in the paper.

The historical aspect of elaboration and peculiar properties of profiles acquisition is considered on example of the central reference and bibliographical collection of the RSL. Dynamics of collection development and profile role as a management tool is traced.

The paper deals with important questions of cataloguing of web resources. It summarizes certain experience of creating bibliographical data base in the environment of «МАРК-SQL» computer-aided library IT system achieved in the course of realizing the project «Multi-resource on-line support in the fields of culture, education and national health» which got the grant of President of the Russian Federation in 2009. The problems connected with selection and the description of web resources by catalog maintenance in an actual condition are considered, the ways of their decision are offered.

Analyzing the innovative project activity of the cultural heritage preservation in the Republic of Khakasia, the author acquaints with the regional experience on introducing into scientific and cultural turn unique and rare book collection of the National library named after N.G. Domozgakov. Realization of these projects gives opportunity to solve strategic tasks of cultural policy and helps to involve young generation into social-cultural activity.

The paper provides an overview of the synodikons — a kind of monastic books. It is difficult to determine unambiguously their type and purpose. There are traced the gradual expansion of their composition, the appearance of new editions, depending on changes of their functions in a monastic book culture.

Dmitry Stelletsky was a sculptor, a painter, a graphic artist and a glorious representative of the Russian retrospectivism at the end of the XIXth — the first quarter of the XXth century that paid his attention to the art of manuscript book. The paper examines one of the most important aspects of his work such as book graphics which received positive enthusiastic reviews of artists and art critics. The papere shows the artist’s career from the studying at the Higher Art School of the Arts Academy and his work in the M.K. Tenisheva atelier till the painting of the church of the Trinity-St Sergius monastery in Paris and the creating of the manuscript masterpiece called «The Lay of Igor’s Warfare».
In his book graphic works Dmitry Stelletsky was able to achieve as close as possible to the traditions of ancient Russian art and to revive the old Russian book tradition of compositionally stylistic unity of letters, ornaments and illustrations.

The article observes the history of the Ust-Sysolsk public library collection formation. It was one of the first district libraries of the Russian empire and the first public library of Komi, which influenced on the development of culture and education of the Ust-Sysolsk district of the Vologda province in the middle and the second half of the 19th century.
